How times have changed!

About 1928 My family used to go to the Jersey Shore in the summer. We had a car with a running board and a spare tire, outside, on the rear of the vehicle. It did not have air conditioning, automatic windshield washers or an automatic transmission. After spending the afternoon at the beach, it was time to return home. However, you returned home in your wet bathing suit. We were not allowed to sit inside the car, we stood on the running board and held onto the doors and open windows. No thoughts of dangers – drivers were considerate and careful of other drivers on the road. We arrived home safely every day. Would I do that today? NO!
